AcT Series |
The Beckman Coulter AcT series of hematology analyzers includes the AcT8, AcT10, AcT diff and AcT diff 2. The AcT8 parameters are WBC, RBC, Hgb, Hct, MCV, MCH, MCHC and Plt. Add Ly# and Ly% for the AcT10 and Ly#, Ly%, M#, M%, G# and G% for the AcT diff system. Only the AcT diff 2 has closed-tube sampling. Sample volume is 12 microliters for the AcT8/AcT10 and 18 microliters for the AcT diff system. Common specifications include automatic dilution, coincidence correction, b&w touchscreen, graphics printer, roll printer, optional ticket printer, auto patient ID, histogram display, alert indicators and manual calibration. Startup time is less than 5 minutes and cycle time is 57 seconds.

JT Series |
The Coulter JT series includes the JT, JT2 and JT3. The Coulter JT is an automated hematology analyzer with the following 16 parameters: WBC, RBC, Hgb, Hct, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Plt, RDW, MPV, L#, L%, M#, M%, G#, G%, including WBC differential. The JT2/JT3 also includes E# and B#. Sample volumes for the JT is 100 microliters. The JT2/JT3 sample volume is 270 in primary mode and 110 in secondary mode. Cycle time is 72 seconds for the JT and JT2. Cycle time for the JT3 is 62 seconds. Up to 270 non-histograms can be stored. The JT and JT2 stores up to 37 results with histograms and the JT3 stores 280 with histograms. The JT2 and JT3 offer closed-tube sampling. Common specifications include electronic automatic aperture cleaning, histogram differential reports, automatic dilution, coincidence correction, CRT, optional printer, optional patient ID system, automatic QC programs, alert indicators and automatic calibration. Startup time is 5 minutes.

The Coulter T540 is an automated hematology analyzer with the following 7 parameters: WBC, LYMPH%, LYMPH #, RBC, Hgb, Hct and Plt including the partial differential WBC. The T540 requires 100 microliter whole blood samples. Special features include a self-cleaning blood sampling valve, triplicate counting, sweep flow, pulse editing, automatic dilution, automatic calibration, coincidence correction, alert indicators and automated backwash, rinsing and electronic aperture cleaning. Startup time is less than 5 minutes and cycle time is 90 seconds.

The Coulter STKS is a 5-part differential automated hematology analyzer that includes the following 20 parameters: WBC, RBC, Hgb, Hct, MCV,MCH, MCHC, RDW, MPV, Plt, L#, L%, M#, M%, N#, N%, E#, E%, B# and B%. Three simultaneous direct measurements provide comparison of volume, size, density, granularity and surface characteristics. Special features include 144-sample walkaway, positive sample and cassett ID, dual blood detectors, triple apertures for WBC, RBC and Plt, fully automated QC processing, log-fit platelet analysis, automatic dilution, 7 apertures, coincidence correction, color CRT, graphics printer, optional ticket printer, and data storage of 1000 reports with scatterplots and histograms. Sample volume is 250 microliters in primary mode and 150 microliters in secondary mode. Cycle time is 35 seconds.
